Startling jumps in campaign website traffic, volunteering, demand for signs after Thursday night’s Mayoral debate
NEWS – June 16, 2023
TORONTO – Something is happening out there: In the hours since last night’s televised Mayoral debate, Anthony Furey’s digital team has had to double the bandwidth of his campaign’s website – Furey.ca – to accommodate an explosion of traffic.
It’s the second time this week that the team has had to do so, said Pixelcarve CEO Curtis Priest. Pixelcarve is the firm managing all digital aspects of the Furey campaign for Mayor of Toronto.
“Throughout the debate we saw a consistent increase in traffic to Furey.ca,” Priest said. “Something major also happened today with another massive jump, perhaps the result of positive media coverage of Anthony’s superb performance.”

At the same time, Furey Campaign Volunteer Leader Georganne Burke is reporting a sustained increase in demand for Anthony Furey For Mayor lawn signs, offers to volunteer and pledges of financial support.
“I’ve been in this business a long time, and I’ve never seen anything like it,” Burke said.
