Anthony Furey calls for centre-right to unite behind him

Surging Mayoral candidate to visit every one of the City’s 25 wards in the home stretch.
NEWS – June 23, 2023
TORONTO –
With just days left to go in Toronto’s Mayoral Campaign Anthony Furey today commenced a tour of each of the City’s 25 wards to ensure none of Toronto’s far-flung citizens are left unheard.
The latest Mainstreet poll – the final major poll of the campaign – shows that Furey is now ahead of Mark Saunders and is the most viable centre-right alternative to Olivia Chow.
“This is the final major poll before the vote. Saunders is fading away. I am calling on all conservative and centre-right voters to unite behind me – the candidate with momentum – to stand up for this great city that we love,” Furey said. “Together, we can win this and stop Olivia Chow.”
This poll is what voters will remember as they head into the weekend and speak with family, friends and neighbours about voting intentions.
Throughout Friday, Furey visited neighbourhoods all across the city to deliver his message of common sense and the need to turn Toronto around.
“As the father of three small kids, I’m committed to ensuring we have a better future,” Furey said. “I’m going to hire 500 new police officers, phase out drug injection sites and replace them with treatment centres, clean up our parks and grow the local economy for the benefit of all.
“I know this city, I love this city and I believe Toronto is worth fighting for.”
